Abstract: In order to revitalize undergraduate education in
computer science and address the need for an increase in undergraduate majors,
we propose a novel three-fold approach. First, we create a community of college
professors, high school teachers, and an industrial partner to plan and
implement an exciting first exposure to computer science. Second, we introduce
Interactive Learning Modules as a vehicle for bringing innovation to the
classroom. Third, we foster the use of collaboration-based experiences
throughout the computer science curriculum.
This is a work in progress.
Right now, it is slim – but it will grow rapidly.
